One of the many picturesque villages in the region, Aigne with its centre of spiral streets is certainly worth a visit. The houses in this ‘escargot’ are full of history, here artists and other artisans exhibit and sell their products. There are even small wine merchants selling good quality wine. After exploring the village a visit to restaurant ‘Lo Cagarol’ is a must.
A few kilometres away is the Cathar village of Minerve, perched on the rocks and steeped in history it is also well worth a visit.
