Le Mistral lies nestled against the foothills of the Montagne Noire, on the edge of the picturesque vine growers village of Beaufort (2 km from the provincial town Olonzac). Here Mediterranean living becomes a reality.

This recently completely renovated luxurious villa with private swimming pool and Spa is located within grounds of 2000m² with phenomenal views over the picturesque village Oupia (romantically lit up at night), the vineyards of the Minervois and, during wintertime – the snow covered peaks of the Pyrenees. Historic Chateau Beaufort lies in view and within walking distance of the house. Recently a jeu de boules track has been placed.

Large living room with beautiful views over garden and countryside, large flat screen television, DVD player, digital satellite reception (including British broadcasters), radio/CD player. Dining area: dining table and chairs (sits 10 easily), book shelves (books, games, DVDs). Wireless/ADSL internet connection.

Spacious modern kitchen, complete with large American fridge/freezer including ice cube machine, ceramic cooker with extraction fan, dishwasher, microwave/oven/grill combination and Senseo coffee machine. The kitchen is equipped for 8 to 10 people.
Utility room for the washing machine, laundry dryer, vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron and any other household equipment.

Four bedrooms: Bedroom with double bed of 160x200cm and spacious cupboards (hanging and shelf space). Second bedroom with double bed of 160x200cm and spacious cupboards (hanging and shelf space). Third bedroom with 3 beds (1 bunk bed) of 90x200cm. This bedroom contains shelves with childrens toys.

Recently completely renovated and modernized bathroom with large bath, large Italian Style walk-in shower and washbasin.

At the other side of the villa is the fourth bedroom with a double bed of 160x200cm and en suite modern bathroom including shower, washbasin and toilet.

All living spaces are equipped with electrical heaters.

Outside:
The beautifully designed south facing garden, developed 15 years ago, includes towering cypresses, exotic palm trees and beautiful agaves and is a pleasure for the eye and nose (mimosa, lavender, hibiscus). It offers plenty of space and complete privacy. Herbs for the kitchen can be taken from the recently added herb garden.
On warm days one can find some pleasant shady place under the variety of trees (cherry, fig, pine, etc.). The traditional stone masonry BBQ is also located in between the trees on a separate spacious terrace where one can sit/eat whilst overlooking the pool area and enjoying the views over the vineyards and mountains.

The swimming pool is located on a lower terrace, which can be reached via either the impressive stone stairs or gravel path. The swimming pool (with alarm) measures 9x4.5 meter and has built in Roman stairs. The large Spa is located adjacent to the house and it is a pleasure to relax in it and enjoy the views or the starry skies on clear nights.

For the spacious patios, garden chairs, sun loungers and tables are available. In addition to the stone BBQ there is also a normal BBQ which can be used around the garden. The garden is equipped with playing equipment for the children, like a swing set. And it is of course an adventure for them to just roam around the garden.

Le Mistral is a good place to stay the whole year round and it is a villa which is very popular under a growing circle of clients who return year after year. Also outside the main holiday seasons the villa gets rented out well, for example in the autumn, the Christmas period and early in the spring.

Activities around Le Mistral:
The fantastic wide sandy beaches of Beziers and Narbonne are 45 minutes away and offer something to children of all ages ((kite-)surf and sailing lessons, carting, etc.). Carcassone is the former capital of the Cathars. The impressive Cité houses the largest European medieval city and is a fascinating day trip (30-45 minutes away). Of course there is the fascinating nature for the active holiday seeker (mountain biking, race biking, running, hiking, canoeing, etc). And in the winter skiing in the Pyrenees is an option at 2 hours from Le Msitral. Barcelona is a 2-3 hour trip away.

Reacheability:
Le Mistral is easily reachable by car via the Route du Soleil and by plane (Ryan Air has started flying to Carcassone which is a 30-45 minutes drive away), Montpellier and Perpignan are good options too (approx. 1.5 hours away).
